Annual Meeting -Financials

Hi Summit Springs HOA members!

We had hoped to see you all this Sunday but alas we will see you all in January. The new meeting invite will be sent by Dec 1 along with the FY26 dues notice. A reminder that HOA dues are due every year January 1 (after January 30, there is a penalty imposed).

For transparency the HOA Board (minus two key positions) wanted to share where you can find important information regarding FY25 financials. We had hoped to provide you with hard copies on Sunday (as we did last year). However, this information is readily available for your review prior to the meeting in January.

When you log into: https://www.thesummitspringshoa.com

Go to “Documents” at the top

Then go to “Financials”

You will see four documents:

FY25 Approved Budget

FY 24 January 1 - Dec 31 general ledger with all expenses

FY 26 Proposed Budget (to be approved at the Annual meeting)

FY 25 general ledger January 1 - to date. There is also the FY24 tab there for easy comparison.

Finally, if you would like to help serve YOUR neighborhood as a Board of Director (current opening for President and Vice President) please send us an email: summitspringshoa.email We are actually a fairly FUN group to hang with and we welcome your participation. 😀

Complaint Form

If you are submitting a complaint we have published a form that must be submitted. The form is to be filled out completely and then submitted to the HOA email address NOT through the "contact" tab on the website. Also, emails that are of this nature are not shared with other non-board member residents, therefore in order to be considered or reviewed your name must be attached.

Parking
When parking in the street for any length of time, be considerate of other residents. Driveways were built to park cars in and parking on the street blocking or making it difficult for another resident to get out of their driveway is rude and inconsiderate. If you are having your guest park on the street, be a considerate neighbor and make sure they are not blocking another driveway or parked in an unsafe manner. When parked in your driveway be considerate of those walking on the sidewalk. Sidewalks should always be clear of vehicle. Pedestrians, especially those with small children, needing to walk around the car near the street is unsafe. Be considerate.

Dogs
The HOA has received a couple complaints about dogs being in a yard unrestrained. Reminder that it is a policy of the HOA that all dogs must be contained or on a leash at all times. However, if you are walking and a dog attacks you then that is NOT an HOA issue, that is a civil issue that you must pursue with the pets owner. If you see an animal roaming through the neighborhood and do not know the owner, call the Harrison County Animal Control. If you know who the owner is, please notify them that their pet is loose. If you contact the owner and still see the pet loose, then contact the HOA and formally complain.

Neighborhood Speed
Summit Springs neighborhood has many children as our residents. When driving through the neighborhood, please keep your speed to a minimum. Speed should be no more than 20 mph as children are often playing in the street. Parents, please remind your children it is safest to play and ride bicycles/scooters on the sidewalk and not in the street. Many have been observed riding in the middle of the street which poses a danger for not only the child but the motorist as well. If your child chooses to ride in the street, please have them ride close to the curb. We do not want to have any accidents or worse in the neighborhood. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!!
